Clinical Commissioning

What is Clinical Commissioning?

Clinical commissioning gives groups of GP practices financial accountability for the NHS services provided in their area.

There are 6 localities in Oxfordshire that make up the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

The Abingdon Practices have joined with practices in Didcot, Wantage & Grove, Faringdon, Clifton Hampden and Berinsfield (total 12 practices).  We are known as the South West Locality, representing a population of 136,000 patients.

For more information including details of other areas within Oxfordshire please go to the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group's website at:   http://www.oxfordshireccg.nhs.uk/default.aspx
