During the coronavirus outbreak the surgery remains open but will be operating differently.  We are suspending booking all face to face appointments with effect from 16 March 2020 until further notice.  Please do not attend the surgery.  If you believe that you need to be seen, please request a telephone appointment.  If you already have an appointment booked do not attend the surgery. If it is clinically appropriate the clinician will arrange for you to be seen. Essential nursing appointments will continue as usual for now. This action is essential to maintain your health and the health of your community as advised by the Department of Health.

Anyone with a new persistant cough and/or fever should self-isolate for 7 days; do not call 111 or contact other healthcare providers.  If symptoms deteriorate and you feel you need medical care, contact NHS 111.  Testing will only be done for those in hospital with symptoms

What is Clinical Commissioning? 

Clinical commissioning gives groups of GP practices financial accountability for the NHS services provided in their area.

There are 6 localities in Oxfordshire that make up the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. 

The Abingdon Practices have joined with practices in Didcot, Wantage & Grove, Faringdon, Clifton Hampden and Berinsfield (total 12 practices).  We are known as the South West Locality, representing a population of 136,000 patients.
